Terms of Service

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have the legal capacity to enter this agreement.
• You are not on a US sanctions list and are not located in a sanctioned jurisdiction.
• You will keep your account credentials and API keys secret. You are responsible for activity under any key you generate.

PRISM is a public-record search instrument. It refracts already- indexed data sources and presents the result. PRISM does not maintain its own people-database; the engine queries third-party indexes on demand. Some queries hit anti-bot challenges; we use third-party solvers within the terms of those services.

You agree that you will use PRISM only for purposes that are lawful in your jurisdiction and the subject's jurisdiction. Specifically, you must have a stated lawful basis for every query — for example:

• Licensed investigation, journalism, due diligence, fraud prevention, threat intelligence, security research, asset recovery, locating heirs / witnesses / debtors.
• Investigating yourself, or a person who has given you written consent.
• Defensive corporate use (vendor risk, employee onboarding under your local employment-screening laws).

You will not use PRISM to:

• Stalk, harass, intimidate, dox, threaten, or otherwise harm any person.
• Investigate minors except in lawful child-safety contexts.
• Make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, housing, or government benefits where the FCRA (or your local equivalent) applies — PRISM is not a Consumer Reporting Agency and you may not treat it as one.
• Resell PRISM output as a people-search product, or build a derivative people-search product on top of it.
• Re-publish or syndicate dossiers (including posting to social media, forums, or paste sites).
• Run high-volume scraping that violates target-site Terms of Service or applicable computer-fraud law.
• Pretext, phish, or impersonate any person or entity.
• Train any machine-learning model on results without separate written permission.
• Attempt to break, probe, or evade our rate limits, billing, or authentication.

• You may create as many API keys as you want, scoped to your account.
• Each key's usage counts against your single credit balance.
• If a key leaks, revoke it immediately. We are not liable for usage on a key you failed to revoke.
• Free no-charge keys may be issued at our discretion. We can revoke or rate-limit them at any time.

• PRISM uses a prepaid credit system. Each trace debits credits from your account balance.
• Cost per trace = base cost × depth multiplier × cluster multiplier. The exact figure is shown in the UI before you submit.
• Top-ups are processed in cryptocurrency through NOWPayments. Credits land in your account once the chain confirms.
• Credits do not expire while your account is active. They are not redeemable for cash.
• If a trace fails (engine error, timeout, no result) you are refunded automatically. If a trace returns partial data and you accept it, no refund.
• Cancelling a job before it reaches a terminal state refunds the cost.

Crypto top-ups are non-refundable except in cases of clear billing error on our side (e.g. credits failed to land after the chain confirmed). Contact billing within 30 days. Refunds, when granted, are issued as PRISM credits, not back to chain.

If you use Bring-Your-Own-LLM to attach your own Anthropic / OpenAI / Gemini key, you remain responsible for all costs charged by that provider. PRISM only forwards your key to the provider for the duration of an in-flight cluster call. Keys are encrypted at rest. We do not log them, and the provider is bound by their own terms with you.

PRISM output is informational. It is not legal, financial, medical, or investigative advice. Verify everything before acting on it. Public records contain errors. Names collide. Old addresses persist. Do not rely on a single source.

PRISM is provided as-is, on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, completeness of results, accuracy of any third-party data source, or that any specific source will remain reachable. We may pause, change, or shut down endpoints at any time, with reasonable notice for breaking changes.

You can close your account at any time by contacting support. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without refund if you violate these terms — particularly the Acceptable Use clause. We will permanently revoke and refuse re-issuance to accounts used to harm individuals.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PRISM, its operators, and its subprocessors are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for direct damages is capped at the credits you spent in the 90 days preceding the claim.

You agree to defend and indemnify PRISM and its operators against any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service in violation of these terms, applicable law, or any third party's rights.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved by binding individual arbitration in English, with the seat of arbitration in Delaware. You and PRISM waive any right to class action.

We may revise these terms. Material revisions will be reflected in the effective date at the top and emailed to verified addresses at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
